Ismael de Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th match minute, BOTAFOGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalberto Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Cachoeirinha's Ismael de Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save S.E. Cachoeirinha from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adalberto Vianna was the one to do the kick off. Gabriel Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 53 played minutes BOTAFOGO got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Pena. Murillo Cabral made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Fabinho Vinhas sent off a good shot on target. 58 minutes into the match, Gabriel Pena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ismael de Carvalho. S.E. Cachoeirinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Pena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Ismael de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luiz da Fonseca in the 66th minute of play. Ismael de Carvalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriel Pena went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score.
