After 22 minutes, Osvaldinho Baptista made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vae Victis!!'s Eulalio Llorian tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 24 played minutes Inter Gala got a freekick which was hit by Nilson Sarmento. Eulalio Llorian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldinho Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldinho Baptista scored 2-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eulalio Llorian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Inter Gala's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria Teixeira came free, but Luís Eduardo Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldinho Baptista was the one to do the kick off. Luís Eduardo Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Lopes in the 53rd minute of the match. Luís Eduardo Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesley Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Vae Victis!!'s Eulalio Llorian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Baptista in the 56th minute of play.
