In the 20th minute, Júlio Netto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in G.E. Juventus FSCMZ's zone, Rafinha Custódio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleiton Queiroz came out of the goal and Rafinha Custódio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexsandro Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Cleiton Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Rafinha Custódio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cleiton Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 31st match minute, G.E. Juventus FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind G.E. Juventus FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cleiton Queiroz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Júlio Netto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cleiton Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cleiton Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafinha Custódio in the 53rd minute of play. Jorge Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Godoi in the 54th minute of the match.
