Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Cleiton Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vae Victis!!'s Renan Sabóia was substituted for Juninho Lopes. Vae Victis!!'s Greg Moore was substituted for Filipe Motta. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eulalio Llorian showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 91st play minutes José Maria Teixeira shot 0-9, a short shot which went by Cleiton Queiroz and just under the crossbar into goal. Cleiton Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Sabóia in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vae Victis!! had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
