An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Nazário De Lima in the 5th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Marcos Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Nazário De Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Armando Botelho came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bernardo Moreira could save by the left post. A collision led to Warren FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the game, Warren FC - DMZ's Sydney Guerra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Nogueira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Bernardo Moreira made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Armando Botelho sent off a good shot on target. Bernardo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Camargo in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Sydney Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Marcos Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Mazza to maneuver through the defense. In the 39thth minute of the game Raimundo Camargo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Warren FC - DMZ's Bernardo Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 40 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Vasconcelos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Botelho got free with Bernardo Moreira in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Capibaribe Stars's Marcos Nogueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Capibaribe Stars from getting a goal against them. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Nogueira having to interfere. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute of the match, Ronaldo Nazário De Lima tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Nogueira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Danilo Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danilo Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Warren FC - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Moreira should have stopped the shot. Bernardo Moreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raimundo Camargo's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute of the match, Ronaldo Nazário De Lima tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Nogueira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Capibaribe Stars's Marcos Nogueira got control of the ball when Giorgian Arrascaeta tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Botelho in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardo Moreira saved Warren FC - DMZ from getting behind. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Nogueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. Betão da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Warren FC - DMZ were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
