The audience thought a goal was coming when Sydney Guerra got free with Manfredo de Souza in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manfredo de Souza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Nazário De Lima's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Serginho Koehler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capibaribe Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warren FC - DMZ the free kick. In the 18th minute, Warren FC - DMZ's Ronaldo Nazário De Lima ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manfredo de Souza. Manfredo de Souza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Giorgian Arrascaeta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manfredo de Souza. That made the score 3-0 in the 22 minute of play. Bernardo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Botelho in the 25th minute of play. Capibaribe Stars's Manfredo de Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Capibaribe Stars from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Warren FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Giorgian Arrascaeta hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Giorgian Arrascaeta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manfredo de Souza. That made the score 4-0 in the 33 minute of play. In the 38th minute Giorgian Arrascaeta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfredo de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo de Souza having to interfere. Betão da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raimundo Camargo was the one to do the kick off. Fabinho Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Manfredo de Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sydney Guerra went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Capibaribe Stars defense, Yan Gang Bang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manfredo de Souza. The Capibaribe Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manfredo de Souza should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Botelho in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Moreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manfredo de Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Nazário De Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Manfredo de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giorgian Arrascaeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75thth minute of the game Ronaldo Nazário De Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capibaribe Stars's Manfredo de Souza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 76 minutes of play, Warren FC - DMZ's Giorgian Arrascaeta made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manfredo de Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Capibaribe Stars booed when Warren FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Ronaldo Nazário De Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Warren FC - DMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. A collision led to Capibaribe Stars getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Fabinho Vasconcelos hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Warren FC - DMZ's Giorgian Arrascaeta broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Danilo Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capibaribe Stars's protests and gave Danilo Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Teixeira. When the referee ended the match the Warren FC - DMZ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
