After 8 played minutes Villaverde Celeste Clube got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Valladares. 11 minutes into the match, Nada Pontual F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Giuliano David came free, but Leonardo Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Nada Pontual F.C getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Lino Cordeiro hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Wilton Berger dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Frederico Godoi hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Alfredo Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Martins in the 31st minute of play. After 33 played minutes Villaverde Celeste Clube got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Valladares. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Leonardo Marques successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 38th minute of the match, Mané Garrincha got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leonardo Marques was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nada Pontual F.C's Leonardo Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Nada Pontual F.C from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 61 played minutes Villaverde Celeste Clube got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho Garcia. Leonardo Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuliano David in the 63rd minute of the match. Leonardo Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Donato in the 65th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aírton Furtado during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nada Pontual F.C's Leonardo Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Garrincha in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Nada Pontual F.C getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Edu Meira hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mané Garrincha in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Marques saved Nada Pontual F.C from getting behind. João Francisco Martins received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfredo Linares came out and tried to block the shot, but João Francisco Martins slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 85th minute. Nada Pontual F.C's Leonardo Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuliano David in the 89th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbson Donato to maneuver through the defense. Wilton Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
