After 16 played minutes Villaverde Celeste Clube got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Valladares. In the 25th minute Marcelo de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Lupere FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Marcelo de Souza hit a great ball. José Munhoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Garrincha in the 35th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Erivaldo Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. William Guerreiro kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st match minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesinha Dias to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Villaverde Celeste Clube's zone, Erivaldo Félix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Linares came out of the goal and Erivaldo Félix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giuliano David stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Romário Gol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Alfredo Linares made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Romário Gol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lupere FC - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Romário Gol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Lupere FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Marcelo de Souza hit a great ball. In the 55th match minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Berger to maneuver through the defense. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Alfredo Linares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Villaverde Celeste Clube from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Lupere FC - DMZ's Romário Gol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfredo Linares. That made the score 0-1 after 65 minutes of play. Marcelo de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Alfredo Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, Lupere FC - DMZ's Erivaldo Félix made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Linares was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Godoi in the 74th minute of play forced Lupere FC - DMZ's goalkeeper José Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romário Gol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Linares having to make a save. Alfredo Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Gol in the 76th minute of the match. Alberto Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Jerônimo Dantas hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Alfredo Linares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romário Gol. Lupere FC - DMZ played a much better game than Villaverde Celeste Clube and deserved their victory. The Villaverde Celeste Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
