Caldebrazza's Elano Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Ramalho in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Luisinho Ramalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Elano Loureiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Caldebrazza booed when Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisinho Ramalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elano Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Luisinho Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavinho Castro got free with Elano Loureiro in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rubens Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
