Leszek Krzynowek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Vasconcelos in the 8th minute of the match. Telmo Vasconcelos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leszek Krzynowek having to make a save. In the 12th match minute, FIEL F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséas Veloso to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute of the match Tomás das Neves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leszek Krzynowek skillfully saved the ball. Dadá Quadros made in the 15th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Adhemar Torres however managed to control. In the 17th minute Telmo Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leszek Krzynowek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Petardo Futebol e Surf booed when FIEL F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Telmo Vasconcelos in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leszek Krzynowek saved FIEL F.C. from getting behind. The Petardo Futebol e Surf fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Petardo Futebol e Surf's Telmo Vasconcelos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ezequiel Lore's late challenge caught a Petardo Futebol e Surf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Lore helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Petardo Futebol e Surf booed when FIEL F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Lore didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Vasconcelos in the 24th minute of play forced FIEL F.C.'s goalkeeper Leszek Krzynowek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the FIEL F.C. defense, Telmo Vasconcelos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leszek Krzynowek. The FIEL F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leszek Krzynowek should have stopped the shot. In the 31st match minute, Petardo Futebol e Surf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. After 32 played minutes FIEL F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gil Proença. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Telmo Vasconcelos in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leszek Krzynowek saved FIEL F.C. from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FIEL F.C.'s Charles Baptista got a free kick in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Vasconcelos in the 38th minute of play forced FIEL F.C.'s goalkeeper Leszek Krzynowek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FIEL F.C.'s zone, Telmo Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leszek Krzynowek came out of the goal and Telmo Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The nice shot from Ezequiel Lore in the 46thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Alexander Domina had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 46 played minutes Petardo Futebol e Surf got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Madureira. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Telmo Vasconcelos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexander Domina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Telmo Vasconcelos sped through FIEL F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leszek Krzynowek. Ezequiel Lore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexander Domina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Lore in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Telmo Vasconcelos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Leszek Krzynowek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Telmo Vasconcelos in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leszek Krzynowek saved FIEL F.C. from getting behind. Dadá Quadros made in the 72nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Adhemar Torres immediately put the ball in play. Telmo Vasconcelos had several of the FIEL F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 77 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Leszek Krzynowek as he didn't even see the shot coming. Petardo Futebol e Surf:s Alexander Domina showed great skill when he stopped Gil Proença:s penalty. In the 82nd minute Ezequiel Lore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Domina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leszek Krzynowek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Telmo Vasconcelos in the 89th minute. After 91 played minutes Petardo Futebol e Surf got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Cordeiro. Gil Proença, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 95th minute Ezequiel Lore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Domina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Charles Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the FIEL F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Baptista couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Petardo Futebol e Surf could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FIEL F.C. throughout the match.
