The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Doni Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Namık Hinoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Roberto Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otávio Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Chico Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otávio Dante succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 12th playminute. Adalberto Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Otávio Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Chico Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doni Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Namık Hinoğlu having to interfere. In the 27thth minute of the game Otávio Dante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caldebrazza's Chico Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Clemente Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Caldebrazza's Chico Arruda got control of the ball when Adalberto Gaspar tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Caldebrazza defense, Otávio Dante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chico Arruda. The Caldebrazza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chico Arruda should have stopped the shot. Chico Arruda came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Lea FC's Otávio Dante. But to his dismay, Otávio Dante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 44 minutes into the match, Hugo Bastos notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Caldebrazza's Chico Arruda. Chico Arruda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

52 minutes into the match, Caldebrazza's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Bastos came free, but Chico Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Caldebrazza getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Carlos Alberto Mangueira hit a great ball. Chico Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute, Hugo Bastos made a precise shot to the right of Chico Arruda. Caldebrazza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Adalberto Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. If Otávio Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Otávio Dante in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chico Arruda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute, Hugo Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Otávio Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Chico Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Bastos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chico Arruda having to make a save. After 78 played minutes Caldebrazza got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Abraão. Hugo Bastos scored 8-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chico Arruda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Otávio Dante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chico Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Caldebrazza's zone, Otávio Dante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Arruda came out of the goal and Otávio Dante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hugo Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 90 minutes, Otávio Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lea FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Dante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caldebrazza's Chico Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Bastos in the 94th minute of play.
