After 35 played minutes, Minuim SS's Mazinho Berger shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amauri Aparecido came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Minuim SS reached it. Adhemar da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Adhemar da Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wambalamba FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. 46 minutes into the match, Minuim SS's Maurinho Corrêa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amauri Aparecido narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinei Goiano to strike the kick off in the second half. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
