The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wellington Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo de Almeida in the 4th minute of play. Pedro Paes hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. If Maurinho Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Minuim SS's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Paes came free, but Claudinho de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mazinho Berger hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute Agostinho Maraschin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Paes scored 1-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudinho de Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th match minute, Minuim SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Donato to maneuver through the defense. Maurinho Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Fernandes having to interfere. Claudinho de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Minuim SS booed when Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Efraim didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Donato in the 37th minute of play forced Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goalkeeper Wellington Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narciso Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Mazinho Berger hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Minuim SS's zone, Joel Holm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho de Souza came out of the goal and Joel Holm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinho de Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agostinho Maraschin in the 45th minute. Minuim SS's Claudinho de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agostinho Maraschin in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Holm made a kick off. Claudinho de Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Holm went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Wellington Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agostinho Maraschin's late challenge caught a Minuim SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agostinho Maraschin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Agostinho Maraschin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Minuim SS's Mazinho Berger got a free kick in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Joel Holm had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinho de Souza. Minuim SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Holm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 80 minutes into the match, Joel Holm notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Minuim SS's Claudinho de Souza. Claudinho de Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Claudinho de Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agostinho Maraschin went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. If Joel Holm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th match minute, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho Faria to maneuver through the defense.
