Iuri Arruda made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Chiquinho Sergipano sent off a good shot on target. When Chicão Vargas fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ATHLETICO PRaiano's protests and gave Chicão Vargas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute, Chicão Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gugu Leme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. ATHLETICO PRaiano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horácio Netto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mestre GG had played much better football throughout.
