The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nilton Alves struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Iuri Arruda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quandus. Silvinho Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Gugu Leme scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maicon Meira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maicon Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Leme in the 18th minute of play. When Erik Porto fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quandus's protests and gave Erik Porto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Quandus getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Erik Porto hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Gugu Leme put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Maicon Meira. After a rather tough play, Quandus's Nilson Batista got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Erik Porto was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 26 minutes had been played. Erik Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Quandus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Batista to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Gugu Leme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maicon Meira. Quandus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gugu Leme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Silvinho Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maicon Meira having to interfere. Alberto Tróia scored 0-6 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maicon Meira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when ATHLETICO PRaiano's Gugu Leme looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The crowd rose to their feet as ATHLETICO PRaiano's Gugu Leme slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maicon Meira. That made the score 0-8 after 58 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Leme in the 63rd minute of play forced Quandus's goalkeeper Maicon Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Jano França was substituted for Gugu Leme. The supporters of ATHLETICO PRaiano booed when Quandus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Quandus's Maicon Meira got control of the ball when Alberto Tróia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberto Tróia took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maicon Meira. Maicon Meira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. In the 75thth minute of the game Alberto Tróia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quandus's Maicon Meira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maicon Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tróia in the 81st minute of the match. Maicon Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Jano França took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Maicon Meira to make any attempt to save it. 87 minutes into the match, Quandus's goal looked a bit too open when Silvinho Amorim came free, but Maicon Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jano França kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in ATHLETICO PRaiano's zone, Nicolas de Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iuri Arruda came out of the goal and Nicolas de Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Quandus fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ATHLETICO PRaiano were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
