In the 8th minute, Liu Feng Guang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Saraiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 15 minutes into the game, Edmundo Pirani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GRÊMIO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mukifus FSCMZ the free kick. In the 17th minute, Diamantino Lendaa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of GRÊMIO booed when Mukifus FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Miguel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Neiva in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of GRÊMIO booed when Mukifus FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute Ettore Gaeta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Zé Lendaa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mukifus FSCMZ's João Paulo Neiva got a free kick in the 35th minute. With an all-out effort, Mukifus FSCMZ's Carlos Miguel threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Waldemar Sabóia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 42 minutes into the match, GRÊMIO's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Sabóia came free, but Carlos Miguel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to GRÊMIO getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Cleto Amor hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Paulo Neiva to strike the kick off in the second half. When Waldemar Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Mukifus FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldemar Sabóia couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute Zé Lendaa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Miguel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mukifus FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after GRÊMIO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zé Lendaa took the corner. A collision led to Mukifus FSCMZ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Baltazar Lendaa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Mukifus FSCMZ's Augusto Lendaa got a free kick in the 64th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as GRÊMIO's Ettore Gaeta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Saraiva. That made the score 0-2 after 71 minutes of play. If Liu Feng Guang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Lino da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ettore Gaeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Mukifus FSCMZ's Waldemar Sabóia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Miguel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Waldemar Sabóia hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The Mukifus FSCMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GRÊMIO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
