A collision led to LUIZ PANATO getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Zuri Mujica hit a great ball. In the 8th minute Paulinho Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquinho Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 10 played minutes LUIZ PANATO got a freekick which was hit by Zuri Mujica. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano Orange in the 11th minute of play forced LUIZ PANATO's goalkeeper Juninho Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Berger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chiquinho Guerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 25th minute Luiz Fabiano Orange shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Zuri Mujica fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Chiquinho Guerra, passed just outside the right post. Chiquinho Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zuri Mujica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Falcão Orange made in the 34th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Alfredinho de Senna immediately put the ball in play. Peng Peng's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Chiquinho Guerra firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 45th minute of the match LUIZ PANATO got a corner. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Peng Peng ran over to the corner to take the kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Berger to make the kick off. Alfredinho de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Chiquinho Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Berger in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Galo Orange got a free kick in the 60th minute. The excitement rose when LUIZ PANATO's Peng Peng after 62 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-0. Oséias Orange scored 1-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juninho Carneiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oséias Oranges short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Juninho Carneiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Chiquinho Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the game, Falcão Orange threw the ball into play from the sideline. LUIZ PANATO's Fernandão Miranda quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 76th minute Paulinho Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquinho Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Léo Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Léo Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the game, LUIZ PANATO's Paulinho Sousa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chiquinho Guerra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 88 minutes, Fernandão Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LUIZ PANATO and the Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, Alfredinho de Senna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juninho Carneiro. The goal made the score 2-2. Luiz Fabiano Orange who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Juninho Carneiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Rubens Cerezo took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Juninho Carneiro to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
