With his leg Ismael Negri managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Jurassic Monsters SA's Guga Paes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 13 minutes into the game, Aírton Bezerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jurassic Monsters SA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MAZER SAF the free kick. The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when Jurassic Monsters SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute of the match, Josué Penha got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ismael Negri was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 22 played minutes Jurassic Monsters SA got a freekick which was hit by Remo Rodrigues. 23 minutes into the match, Jurassic Monsters SA's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Sein came free, but Denílson Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jurassic Monsters SA's Josué Penha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ismael Negri. That made the score 1-0 after 26 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
