Moquem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustão Mineiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Santista CIMZ's zone, Gilvan Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arthur Sergipano came out of the goal and Gilvan Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute Pedrinho Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Academia Santista CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Gilvan Severo came free, but Arthur Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Silvinho Peixoto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vivaldo Silveira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Nildo Diniz fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moquem's protests and gave Nildo Diniz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, Nildo Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Silvinho Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia Santista CIMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvinho Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the match, Moquem's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Gol came free, but Vivaldo Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vivaldo Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Gol in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Alexandre Velloso got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Silvinho Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Chico Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moquem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chico Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 41 minutes, Luís Fábio Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moquem and the Academia Santista CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luís Fábio Salles hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Vivaldo Silveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedrinho Gol's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute, Armando Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Academia Santista CIMZ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedrinho Gol to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Diego de Medeiros made a precise shot to the right of Vivaldo Silveira. Moquem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Vivaldo Silveira made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Diego de Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. Alexandre Velloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arthur Sergipano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Gilvan Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Sergipano having to interfere. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia Santista CIMZ's goalkeeper Arthur Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th match minute, Moquem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Velloso to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fábio Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilvan Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Sergipano having to interfere. Vivaldo Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrinho Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arthur Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Severo in the 92nd minute of play. Academia Santista CIMZ's Arthur Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilvan Severo in the 94th minute of play. Chico Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
