The supporters of Flamengo FSCMZ booed when MarquinhosEC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guto de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeca Cerezo didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Flamengo FSCMZ's Aquiles Leonidas shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Carlos Rezende scored 0-3 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeca Cerezo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Aquiles Leonidas made a precise shot to the right of Zeca Cerezo. MarquinhosEC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After 35 played minutes MarquinhosEC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick de Queirós. If Celso Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeca Cerezo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aquiles Leonidas's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Zeca Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Aquiles Leonidas made the kick off in the second half. Zeca Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Rezende in the 51st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Flamengo FSCMZ's Carlos Rezende slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zeca Cerezo. That made the score 0-5 after 58 minutes of play. Celso Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Zeca Cerezo made a huge save. Guto de Toledo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Marco Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Flamengo FSCMZ defense, Fabinho Marinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Fábio Silveira. The Flamengo FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Fábio Silveira should have stopped the shot. After 80 played minutes MarquinhosEC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Loyola. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Pedro Luiz Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luiz Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeca Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeca Cerezo came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo FSCMZ's Aquiles Leonidas. But to his dismay, Aquiles Leonidas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Luís Fábio Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Souto in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Dorian Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Fábio Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Flamengo FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Flamengo FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
