The referee ignored MarquinhosEC's protests and gave Alfredo Loyola a yellow card for diving instead. Dorival Fontes hit a great ball. Rubinho Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Souto in the 11th minute of play. Rubinho Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabinho Marinho in the 14th minute of the match. Zeca Cerezo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorival Fontes went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 20th minute, Pedro Paulo Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ADM Taquaras's Dorival Fontes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 24th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Zeca Cerezo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorival Fontes in the 27th minute. In the 30th match minute, ADM Taquaras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodriguinho da Mata to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of MarquinhosEC booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Paulo Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute Dorian Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, MarquinhosEC's Fabinho Marinho tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

MarquinhosEC's Zeca Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Fontes in the 59th minute of play. ADM Taquaras's Rubinho Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Souto in the 65th minute of play. Doni dos Santos's late challenge caught a MarquinhosEC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doni dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Doni dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Cerezo having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Dorival Fontes notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of MarquinhosEC's Zeca Cerezo. Zeca Cerezo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of MarquinhosEC booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. ADM Taquaras were victorious despite being under pressure from MarquinhosEC for much of the match.
