Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlinhos Velasco in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Velasco came free, but Valdemar Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haroldo Recife hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlinhos Velasco was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Carlinhos Velasco could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Valdemar Quadros however easily saved by the left post. The throw-in from Tostão Pernambucano in the 55th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Talento Futebol clube's Júnior Zago. Carlinhos Velasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdemar Quadros having to make a save. Talento Futebol clube's attentive Fraco Zago managed to snatch the ball when Tostão Pernambucano made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. Talento Futebol clube's Carlinhos Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Talento Futebol clube booed when Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Maria Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Velasco came free, but Valdemar Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdemar Quadros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. 90 minutes into the match, Carlinhos Velasco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdemar Quadros. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlinhos Velasco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Talento Futebol clube's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
