Väinö Caca-Rato started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ booed when 20 DE SETEMBRO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rene Austin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clóvis Corrêa in the 11th minute. In the 13th match minute, 20 DE SETEMBRO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Hélder de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fryderyk Pacholewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Väinö Caca-Rato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Neves in the 31st minute of play forced Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's goalkeeper Rene Austin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélder de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Väinö Caca-Rato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessandro Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, 20 DE SETEMBRO's goal looked a bit too open when Väinö Caca-Rato came free, but Hélder de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hélder de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fryderyk Pacholewski in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute of the match Mário Alvarenga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rene Austin skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Clóvis Corrêa got a free kick in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessandro Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tito Waiben during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Tito Waiben. Durvalino Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder de Queiroz having to interfere. After 55 minutes of play, Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's Väinö Caca-Rato made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélder de Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hélder de Queiroz came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's Durvalino Trevisan. But to his dismay, Durvalino Trevisan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Väinö Caca-Rato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hélder de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Hélder de Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Väinö Caca-Rato. Hélder de Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Väinö Caca-Rato sent off a good shot on target. Rene Austin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 minutes, Bai Zhen Kang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ and the 20 DE SETEMBRO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hélder de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Väinö Caca-Rato in the 85th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Väinö Caca-Rato kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hélder de Queiroz. That made the score 0-7 in the 85 minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, 20 DE SETEMBRO's goal looked a bit too open when Fryderyk Pacholewski came free, but Hélder de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Belmiro Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had been going on for 92 minutes Antonello Anzolin shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Hélder de Queiroz when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. Hélder de Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Väinö Caca-Rato sent off a good shot on target.
