Jerzy Giejda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Rossi got free with Serafim Paes in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Nonatos United booed when Olímpico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Olímpico FC's goalkeeper Serafim Paes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélder Mandrak. The supporters of Nonatos United booed when Olímpico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerson de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafim Paes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute of the match, Lauro Proença tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Serafim Paes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 30 minutes into the game, Humberto Rossi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Serafim Paes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the game, Nonatos United's Conrado Rossi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafim Paes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lauro Proença in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serafim Paes saved Olímpico FC from getting behind. Serafim Paes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 42nd match minute, Olímpico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvério Terra to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute Conrado Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lauro Proença to strike the kick off in the second half. Serafim Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Rossi in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Hélder Mandrak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serafim Paes. Olímpico FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélder Mandrak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 58th minute Hélder Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafim Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Proença in the 62nd minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Hélder Mandrak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Serafim Paes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nonatos United's goalkeeper Jerzy Giejda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Olímpico FC's Serafim Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Rossi in the 86th minute of play. Serafim Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Proença in the 89th minute of play. Ademar Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Serafim Paes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lauro Proença went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Nonatos United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
