Michel Neves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Diamantino Senna made a huge save. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Futbol Club RRFV's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cengizhan Kaan was slow to take the kick. During this time Nonatos United's players had a chance to rest. In the 17th minute, Diamantino Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Futbol Club RRFV's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Neves came free, but Diamantino Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Vítor Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A sloppy throw-in by Dorival do Vale in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Nonatos United's Cengizhan Kaan. In the 40th minute Nonatos United were awarded a corner. Cengizhan Kaan went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Cengizhan Kaan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Diamantino Senna quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Michel Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 played minutes Nonatos United got a freekick which was hit by Ove Ahlström. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink to make the kick off. The Nonatos United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The audience was convinced that Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diamantino Senna was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Nonatos United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
