Armando Guerreiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niyazi Derim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Manoel Peixoto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulão Diniz. Manoel Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulinho Fenomeno in the 14th minute of the match. Rok Roll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Manoel Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manoel Peixoto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulinho Fenomeno's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 23rd minute Armando Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niyazi Derim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Jabaquara SC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jeremias Zanette hit a great ball. Niyazi Derim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Guerreiro in the 27th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Jabaquara SC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Guerreiro came free, but Niyazi Derim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niyazi Derim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Guerreiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The Jabaquara SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niyazi Derim should have stopped the shot. After the first half Sport Club Mavericks were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Luizão Lima made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Jabaquara SC's goalkeeper Niyazi Derim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Guerreiro. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manoel Peixoto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Fenomeno came free, but Manoel Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manoel Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulão Diniz in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Jeremias Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niyazi Derim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Guerreiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulinho Fenomeno in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manoel Peixoto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manoel Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rok Roll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arturo Filippini hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Jabaquara SC's Niyazi Derim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Efraim in the 92nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Honorio Efraim got free with Niyazi Derim in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcos Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Niyazi Derim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sport Club Mavericks were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Jabaquara SC's much stronger midfield.
