Geovânio Camargo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Otávio Massa having to make a save. Eliézer Queiroz lost his temper 5 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Bezerros EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Danone CC:s goal. Gustavo Corrêa struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Otávio Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bezerros EC. In the 12th minute, Fausto Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gino Brito was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Danone CC's Fausto Senna in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bezerros EC's goalie prevented a goal. Gino Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Senna in the 22nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júnior Veloso in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gino Brito saved Bezerros EC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Senna in the 45th minute of play forced Bezerros EC's goalkeeper Gino Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Fausto Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júnior Veloso made a kick off. After some careless play in the Bezerros EC defense, Fausto Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gino Brito. The Bezerros EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gino Brito should have stopped the shot. In the 54th minute Gustavo Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Fausto Senna dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gino Brito, 0-4. In the 61st minute, Lamar Walls hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bezerros EC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Luisinho Massa hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Senna got free with Gino Brito in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vágner Cunha hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Júnior Veloso took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gino Brito. Gino Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Dráuzio Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 83 played minutes Fausto Senna rounded Bezerros EC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-7. Bezerros EC's Gino Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Senna in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Szczepan Mosiniak reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gino Brito. The goal made the score 0-8. After a defensive mix-up in Bezerros EC's zone, Szczepan Mosiniak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gino Brito came out of the goal and Szczepan Mosiniak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
