FC St. Pauli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramón Trevisan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 7th minute, Ramón Trevisan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Zorro Negro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Eduardo Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC St. Pauli's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremias Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amílton Arce blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guilherme Mendonça having to make a save. Guilherme Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Trevisan in the 17th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, La Zorro Negro's Ramón Trevisan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guilherme Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Zorro Negro's goalkeeper Jeremias Rocha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, La Zorro Negro's Jeremias Rocha got control of the ball when Régis Coutinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, La Zorro Negro's Luiz Paulo Cabral got a free kick in the 27th minute. FC St. Pauli's Guilherme Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílton Arce in the 29th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Moreno got free with Jeremias Rocha in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeremias Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduardo Moreno in the 35th minute. A nice corner shot did that Pedro Luiz Trevisan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jeremias Rocha quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Luis during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC St. Pauli booed when La Zorro Negro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Moreno in the 52nd minute of play. Guilherme Mendonça came out and tried to block the shot, but David Luis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 69th minute. Ricardo Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeremias Rocha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dário Schmidt went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. When Edmílson Toscano fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC St. Pauli's protests and gave Edmílson Toscano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, Edmílson Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When FC St. Pauli's Régis Coutinho in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jeremias Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Régis Coutinho in the 96th minute of the match.
