Ian Brasil hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Poetass FC's Claudinho Saldanha tried to score from far away in the 3rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Misericordia EC fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Misericordia EC's Bob Maravilha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 10 minutes into the match, Bob Chute had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cássio de Senna. Poetass FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bob Chute was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Cássio de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Maravilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Misericordia EC's Wágner Ribeiro got control of the ball when Claudinho Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Poetass FC's zone, Bob Maravilha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cássio de Senna came out of the goal and Bob Maravilha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bob Chute came free, but Cássio de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24thth minute of the game Bob Maravilha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Misericordia EC got a corner. Poetass FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bob Dinamite ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cássio de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valério Peres in the 31st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bob Maravilha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cássio de Senna was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Maravilha in the 36th minute of play. Cássio de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Maravilha in the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Poetass FC's zone, Valério Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cássio de Senna came out of the goal and Valério Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cássio de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Maravilha in the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bob Maravilha made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Bob Chute hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Misericordia EC's Ian Brasil got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zico Matamoros came free, but Cássio de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bob Chute fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio de Senna having to interfere. The supporters of Misericordia EC booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Cássio de Senna managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Misericordia EC's Bob Maravilha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Misericordia EC's Bob Maravilha in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Poetass FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76thth minute of the game Claudinho Saldanha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Misericordia EC's Wágner Ribeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cássio de Senna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bob Maravilha's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Bob Chute fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cássio de Senna, passed just outside the right post. After 87 minutes of play, Misericordia EC's Bob Chute made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio de Senna was left in no man's land by his defense there! Misericordia EC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
