Tenha Dó Dó Dó's José Paulo de Castro got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered José Paulo de Castro off the ground. Carlos Quintal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Beto Vidal made a huge save. When Jonas Oliveira fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tenha Dó Dó Dó's protests and gave Jonas Oliveira a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Tenha Dó Dó Dó got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Oliveira. Tenha Dó Dó Dó's Basílio Damião was substituted for Jonas Oliveira. In the 49th match minute, Tenha Dó Dó Dó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Quintal was the one to do the kick off. In the 95th match minute, Tenha Dó Dó Dó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tord Nyman to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Vidal having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Maraponga FAC had won after a very even match.
