He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Intendencia AD reached it. Simamane LuaLua struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Cleiton Terra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE. 28 minutes into the game, Júlio Brasil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cleiton Terra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Júlio Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Frank Catarinense fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Intendencia AD's protests and gave Frank Catarinense a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Frank Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleiton Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Intendencia AD's Cleiton Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Brasil in the 43rd minute of play.

Intendencia AD's Joaquim Miranda was substituted for Hernani de Alcântara. One of CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Intendencia AD:s goal. Jonathan da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos Bastos in the 87th minute of play. Frank Catarinense scored 2-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan da Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
