Geraldo de Godoi took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cleiton Terra. Cleiton Terra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 13th minute, Intendencia AD's Hernani de Alcântara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Geraldo de Godoi scored 1-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cleiton Terra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Carlinhos Bastos came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Intendencia AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlinhos Bastos couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute Geraldo de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleiton Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Nóbrega in the 34th minute of play forced Intendencia AD's goalkeeper Cleiton Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Albino Steven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleiton Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Intendencia AD's Cleiton Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo de Godoi in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Raúl Nóbrega had to leave the field with a concussion. Bruninho Vides's late challenge caught a Taquaral Campineiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruninho Vides helped the player get up and apologised. Taquaral Campineiro made a substitution. Sílvio Luís Eger replaced Raúl Nóbrega. In the 41st match minute, Intendencia AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Vides to maneuver through the defense. When Taquaral Campineiro's Sílvio Luís Eger in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Taquaral Campineiro booed when Intendencia AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilson Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Luiz Paulo Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Paulo Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Albino Steven ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cleiton Terra was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Taquaral Campineiro's Blair McCormick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique de Carvalho in the 69th minute of play. Albino Steven could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Cleiton Terra made a huge save. Blair McCormick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo de Godoi in the 80th minute of play forced Intendencia AD's goalkeeper Cleiton Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Intendencia AD's goalkeeper Cleiton Terra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albino Steven. A collision led to Intendencia AD getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Oséas Galvão hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Sílvio Luís Eger took a quick shot and it went in 3-7 without a chance for Cleiton Terra to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Taquaral Campineiro defense, Carlinhos Bastos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blair McCormick. The Taquaral Campineiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blair McCormick should have stopped the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Taquaral Campineiro walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
