Silas Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wit Winnicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlindo Vargas in the 26th minute of play forced Pégasus F. C.'s goalkeeper Dráusio Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Landulfos FC's Luiz Leme in the 88th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Dráusio Pitta was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Pégasus F. C. through an amazing save. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pégasus F. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sergio Martins was slow to take the kick. During this time Landulfos FC's players had a chance to rest. Landulfos FC's José Carlos Linares was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dráusio Pitta in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Silas Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vivaldo Freire in the 92nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Leme during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luiz Leme hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Pégasus F. C. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
