After a rather tough play, WAU team's Dênis Tande got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Dráusio Siqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dráusio Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Capivara FC's Célio Machado got control of the ball when Vágner Siqueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Vágner Siqueira took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Célio Machado to make any attempt to save it. If Dênis Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. WAU team's Dráusio Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Bastos in the 26th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Claudinei de Alcântara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Célio Machado was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. When Jorginho Novaes fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored WAU team's protests and gave Jorginho Novaes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to WAU team getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jorginho Novaes hit a great ball. When Capivara FC's Guto Bastos, in the 33rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Capivara FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei de Alcântara in the 37th minute of play forced Capivara FC's goalkeeper Célio Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Claudinei de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Célio Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Célio Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei de Alcântara in the 41st minute of play. Dráusio Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Hermes in the 44th minute of the match. Carlos Eduardo Alagoano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 47 minutes, João Francisco Viana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capivara FC and the WAU team players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th match minute, Capivara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Viana to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinei de Alcântara was the one to do the kick off. Claudinei de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Célio Machado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudinei de Alcântara went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinei de Alcântara in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Célio Machado saved Capivara FC from getting behind. Dênis Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Célio Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Claudinei de Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Célio Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for WAU team. Célio Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei de Alcântara in the 86th minute of the match. With a little luck, WAU team's Dráusio Siqueira got control of the ball when Jaime Hermes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Capivara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei de Alcântara came free, but Célio Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Claudinei de Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. WAU team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capivara FC the free kick. WAU team were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Capivara FC for a fine match.
