In the 31st minute, Diamantino de Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Faustão Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Sérgio Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Noel da Costa in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emílio Motta saved Guará FC from getting behind. Flavinho Alagoano's late challenge caught a SRP-Laguna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 70th minute Flavinho Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustão Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SRP-Laguna booed when Guará FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustave Martinot didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 played minutes SRP-Laguna got a freekick which was hit by Noel da Costa. In the 76th minute, Guará FC's Flavinho Alagoano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Faustão Custódio. Faustão Custódio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Faustão Custódio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diamantino de Lara in the 78th minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Donato da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SRP-Laguna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato da Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute Ediberto Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
