Spectators: 170 (Terracing: 128, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Francisco Garcia took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dinei Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Francisco Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th match minute, SRP-Laguna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Renatinho Braga notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SRP-Laguna's Faustão Custódio. Faustão Custódio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the game, Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Renatinho Braga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Faustão Custódio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Faustão Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Garcia in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SRP-Laguna's Leonel Queirós got a free kick in the 21st minute. Fernandinho Paes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Faustão Custódio. SRP-Laguna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Renatinho Braga scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Faustão Custódio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Faustão Custódio came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Francisco Garcia. But to his dismay, Francisco Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Faustão Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 39 minutes into the match, SRP-Laguna's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Garcia came free, but Faustão Custódio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olavo Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato da Silveira in the 42nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiliam de Souza got free with Olavo Vasconcelos in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wiliam de Souza to strike the kick off in the second half. Chicão Tepedino lost his temper 52 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SRP-Laguna! The referee gave Desportiva Paulo Afonso a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fernandinho Paes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SRP-Laguna's Faustão Custódio. 0-5. 60 minutes into the game, Fernandinho Paes threw the ball into play from the sideline. SRP-Laguna's Ediberto Amorim quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 63 played minutes Desportiva Paulo Afonso got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Moraes. SRP-Laguna's attentive Léo Bertassi managed to snatch the ball when Jano Simões made a throw-in in the 66th minute of the game. Sérgio Neves's late challenge caught a Desportiva Paulo Afonso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sérgio Neves helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Desportiva Paulo Afonso booed when SRP-Laguna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernandinho Paes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, SRP-Laguna's Sérgio Neves got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 76 minutes, Francisco Garcia made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. SRP-Laguna's Faustão Custódio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the game, Francisco Garcia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Faustão Custódio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd match minute, Desportiva Paulo Afonso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Hélder Trigo hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute Wiliam de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roberto Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SRP-Laguna's Roberto Barbosa got a free kick in the 98th minute. The SRP-Laguna fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Desportiva Paulo Afonso were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
