Spectators: 144 (Terracing: 109, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Basílio Mazza started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Basílio Mazza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vale Verde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Basílio do Valle charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basílio do Valle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vale Verde booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute Norberto Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, SE Palmeiras's Nilson Dracena got control of the ball when Basílio Mazza tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Vale Verde's Nilson Dracena threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Norberto Cardozo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nilson Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ian Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute of the match Ramiro Vasconcelos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nilson Dracena skillfully saved the ball. Perivaldo Salles charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Perivaldo Salles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SE Palmeiras getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Perivaldo Salles hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Basílio Mazza could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Nilson Dracena however easily saved by the left post. Basílio Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Nilson Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Basílio do Valle to make the kick off. Basílio do Valle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ronaldão Sena having to make a save. 57 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Cardozo came free, but Nilson Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Mazza came free, but Nilson Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christiano Baiano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 77 minutes into the game, Vale Verde's Norberto Cardozo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nilson Dracena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. SE Palmeiras's Nilson Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Cardozo in the 82nd minute of play. After 86 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Ian Cerezo. Nilson Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Cardozo in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Mazza in the 90th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Nilson Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Décio Peixoto's late challenge caught a Vale Verde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Décio Peixoto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute of the match Flavinho Andrade shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nilson Dracena showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vale Verde had played much better football throughout.
