In the 21st match minute, AFC - Curitiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilmar Simão to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Gustavo Braga to make the kick off. With his leg Celsinho Vander managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Jovens Democratas MZC's Giuseppe Negri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giuseppe Negri got free with Celsinho Vander in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celsinho Vander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celsinho Vander was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Giuseppe Negri capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Giuseppe Negri really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Dobromir Zagrodny took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Celsinho Vander to make any attempt to save it. AFC - Curitiba's Celsinho Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xu Li Sang in the 96th minute of play. André Luiz Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Celsinho Vander made a huge save. The AFC - Curitiba fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Jovens Democratas MZC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
