In the 6th minute, Matías Brasil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Botafogo MZRJ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Matías Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Murillo Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Geraldo Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geraldo Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos das Neves in the 17th minute of play. Geraldo Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murillo Loureiro in the 20th minute of the match. Geraldo Queiroz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matías Brasil's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Botafogo MZRJ's zone, Dudu Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Férid Khalifa came out of the goal and Dudu Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Murillo Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geraldo Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Rockets's Geraldo Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Brasil in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Botafogo MZRJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson Barral to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Marquinhos das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matías Brasil to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Brasil in the 51st minute of play forced Rockets's goalkeeper Geraldo Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geraldo Queiroz was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Matías Brasil capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Matías Brasil really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Geraldo Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murillo Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th match minute, Rockets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. After 74 played minutes Matías Brasil rounded Rockets's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. Geraldo Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murillo Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Botafogo MZRJ's Matías Brasil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geraldo Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geraldo Queiroz was a little too slow when Matías Brasil got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-7. In the 90th minute, Osvaldo Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Rockets's goal looked a bit too open when Matías Brasil came free, but Geraldo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
