The supporters of Independente FC booed when Coice de Mula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Independente FC's Raí Prestes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thibault Mamardashvili narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Coice de Mula's Thibault Mamardashvili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Marquez in the 7th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Luiz Marquez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independente FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Carlos Fernando de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Nando Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Raí Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thibault Mamardashvili having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Coice de Mula's Yuri de Carvalho got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Raí Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hudson Toscano during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hudson Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Thibault Mamardashvili came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Independente FC's Raí Prestes. But to his dismay, Raí Prestes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, Independente FC's Edinho Secco got a free kick in the 37th minute. Coice de Mula's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Luiz Marquez scored to the left of an out of position Thibault Mamardashvili, making the score, 4-0. Coice de Mula's Thibault Mamardashvili proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Coice de Mula from getting a goal against them. Nando Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arí Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arí Motta was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Independente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. With a left leg Thibault Mamardashvili saved Coice de Mula from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Coice de Mula's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Marquez came free, but Thibault Mamardashvili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thibault Mamardashvili was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Independente FC fully deserved thier win.
