After having played for 5 minutes, Flávio Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zebus FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flávio Dante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dida Coelho in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto de Azevedo saved Milanis E.C. from getting behind. Jacinto de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dida Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Jacinto de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flávio Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flávio Dante took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacinto de Azevedo. Jacinto de Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 19th minute Dida Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flávio Dante in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto de Azevedo saved Milanis E.C. from getting behind. In the 29thth minute of the game Flávio Dante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Milanis E.C.'s Jacinto de Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Dida Coelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto de Azevedo was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After 35 minutes, Dida Coelho made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Milanis E.C.'s Jacinto de Azevedo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute Dida Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 46 minutes on the clock, Ovidio Vergaray commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Augusto das Neves succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 48th playminute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dida Coelho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacinto de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dida Coelho in the 54th minute. Jacinto de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zebus FC. Jacinto de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dida Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Dida Coelho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-7 in the 66th playminute. Dida Coelho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jacinto de Azevedo came out and tried to block the shot, but Dida Coelho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 75th minute. The supporters of Zebus FC booed when Milanis E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 played minutes, Zebus FC's Clemente Netto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacinto de Azevedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zebus FC reached it. Thanks to some nice moves Dida Coelho could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Jacinto de Azevedo however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Milanis E.C.'s Elivélton da Silva got a free kick in the 85th minute. Clemente Netto, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 90th minute, Elivélton da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacinto de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dida Coelho in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute, Dida Coelho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zebus FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-10. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Zebus FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
