When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Flávio Dante sped through Ypiranga FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ronaldão Ceresso. Ronaldão Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dida Coelho in the 21st minute of the match. The Ypiranga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldão Ceresso should have stopped the shot. Ronaldão Ceresso came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Zebus FC's Dida Coelho. But to his dismay, Dida Coelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The Ypiranga FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zebus FC were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Flávio Dante made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dida Coelho got free with Ronaldão Ceresso in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronaldão Ceresso came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Zebus FC's Dida Coelho. But to his dismay, Dida Coelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 58thth minute of the game Flávio Dante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ypiranga FC's Ronaldão Ceresso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Ronaldão Ceresso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 59th match minute, Ypiranga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ypiranga FC's zone, Dida Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldão Ceresso came out of the goal and Dida Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flávio Dante did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Ronaldão Ceresso 64 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Dave Lombardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronaldão Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Lombardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zebus FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Clemente Netto in the 76th minute. Clemente Netto made a great header on Zebus FC's corner, it was just that Ypiranga FC's Ronaldão Ceresso managed to reach the ball for a save. Ronaldão Ceresso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dave Lombardo went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. If Kalev Kukk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldão Ceresso was a little too slow when Flávio Dante got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-8. Dida Coelho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ronaldão Ceresso came out and tried to block the shot, but Dida Coelho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 89th minute. Ypiranga FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Flávio Dante scored to the left of an out of position Ronaldão Ceresso, making the score, 0-10. In the 98th minute Flávio Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldão Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
