Cléber da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Figueiredo having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Dalmo Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Christiano Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Tasso in the 18th minute of play. Cléber da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cléber da Costa sped through S.C. Corinthians Paulista's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Figueiredo. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléber da Costa in the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rdth minute of the game Cléber da Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Luiz Fernando Figueiredo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 34 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Juliusz Cezar. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by SORRISO E. C.'s Davi Isac. But to his dismay, Davi Isac quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Cléber da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Figueiredo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Cléber da Costa hit a great ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cléber da Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando Figueiredo should have stopped the shot. 57 minutes into the game, Cléber da Costa lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Luiz Fernando Figueiredo. After 63 minutes of play, SORRISO E. C.'s Cléber da Costa made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dedê Paes's late challenge caught a SORRISO E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dedê Paes helped the player get up and apologised. Cléber da Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Cléber da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cléber da Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Fernando Figueiredo was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cléber da Costa's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in S.C. Corinthians Paulista's zone, Davi Isac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo came out of the goal and Davi Isac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95thth minute of the game Cléber da Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Luiz Fernando Figueiredo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. SORRISO E. C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
