With a little luck, Catadão's Ulisses Arce got control of the ball when Jonas Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dênis Munhoz took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caetano Salles. Caetano Salles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Los Andes FC - FSCMZ booed when Catadão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Catadão's zone, Jonas Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulisses Arce came out of the goal and Jonas Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulisses Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrício Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd match minute, Catadão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Fabrício Arce fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ulisses Arce, passed just outside the right post. Kléberson Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Edmílson Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st match minute, Catadão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Dantas to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 36 minutes, Jonas Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulisses Arce was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Fabrício Arce capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabrício Arce really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Ulisses Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Arce in the 44th minute of the match. Ulisses Arce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Machado in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonas Machado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ulisses Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Catadão's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Machado came free, but Ulisses Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dedé Brodel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th match minute, Catadão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Dantas to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hélder Madureira during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Catadão's Ulisses Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Machado in the 70th minute of play. In the 79th minute Jonas Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulisses Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Sandro Tróia scored to the left of an out of position Caetano Salles, making the score, 3-2. Kléberson Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Caetano Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmílson Cordeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmílson Cordeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edmílson Cordeiro hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Fabrício Arce hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 87th match minute, Catadão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Xavier to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedé Brodel in the 93rd minute of play forced Catadão's goalkeeper Ulisses Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Los Andes FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Hélder Madureira hit a great ball. After having played for 99 minutes, Jonas Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Los Andes FC - FSCMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Catadão had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
