An unexpectedly hard shot by Válter Siqueira in the 33rd minute of play forced 卡納里尼奧 FC's goalkeeper João Vítor Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, 卡納里尼奧 FC's Wilson Matorin got a free kick in the 36th minute. João Vítor Guimarães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toninho Arruda went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Lino Saldanha hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulysses de Senna got free with Natanael Sena in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliseu Alagoano to make the kick off. If Jefferson Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, 卡納里尼奧 FC's goalkeeper João Vítor Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válter Siqueira. The tension between the Monumento Sports and the 卡納里尼奧 FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 卡納里尼奧 FC made a substitution. Édouard Mendy replaced Severino da Cunha. Natanael Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Monumento Sports had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
