Falcão Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serginho Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Cacá da Fonseca hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. A collision led to Vila Nova FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Henrique Dantas hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Baptista came free, but Falcão Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Vila Nova FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacá da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elói Borges got free with Beto de Sousa in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Vila Nova FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Cacá da Fonseca hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Beto de Sousa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Elias Sarmento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Falcão Monteiro having to make a save.

In the 53rd minute, TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Serginho Nóbrega fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Henrique do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Falcão Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Vila Nova FC's Elias Sarmento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Falcão Monteiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vila Nova FC played a much better game than TIMETER EC -DMZ- and deserved their victory. The TIMETER EC -DMZ- players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
