Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mazinho Baptista started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Saiko FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Wanderson Trigo hit a great ball. With a little luck, Saiko FC's Giuseppe de Carvalho got control of the ball when Gustavo Zonta tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th minute, Luciano Breckenfeld ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benedito Silveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Benedito Silveira came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Saiko FC's 姚旭杰. But to his dismay, 姚旭杰 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Benedito Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 姚旭杰 in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Saiko FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wanderson Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Benedito Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanderson Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Saiko FC's Giuseppe de Carvalho got control of the ball when Gustavo Zonta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benedito Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Trigo in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Wellington Phoenix's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Trigo came free, but Benedito Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, 姚旭杰 put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Benedito Silveira. In the 43rd minute Mazinho Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mazinho Baptista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giuseppe de Carvalho was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After the first half Saiko FC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when 姚旭杰 made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Saiko FC booed when Wellington Phoenix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Saiko FC's Wanderson Trigo got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 61st match minute, Saiko FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gildo Fantini to maneuver through the defense. Wellington Phoenix's Paulo Castro was substituted for Juarês Teixeira. Wellington Phoenix's Gil Cardoso was substituted for Gustavo Zonta. Giuseppe de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wellington Phoenix's Benedito Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Wellington Phoenix from getting a goal against them. Jeferson Dantas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Benedito Silveira made a huge save. After 68 minutes of play, Wellington Phoenix's Amadeu Maranhense made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giuseppe de Carvalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Giuseppe de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazinho Baptista in the 72nd minute of play. Gil Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe de Carvalho having to interfere. In the 79th minute Mazinho Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mazinho Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th match minute, Wellington Phoenix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Mota to maneuver through the defense. Wanderson Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeferson Dantas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Saiko FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
