Dráusio Machado hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, The Best Ones's goal looked a bit too open when Jean de Moraes came free, but Wellington Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Antônio da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisão Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Francisco Mendes hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The supporters of The Best Ones booed when Mexilhão F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15thth minute of the game João Francisco Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Best Ones's Wellington Xavier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luisão Seco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luisinho Veiga went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Luisão Seco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristóvão de Sousa in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mexilhão F. C.'s zone, Luisinho Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão Seco came out of the goal and Luisinho Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the game, Eliézer Terra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexilhão F. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Best Ones the free kick. Eliézer Terra hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 43 minutes of play, The Best Ones's Cristóvão de Sousa made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisão Seco was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Almir Loureiro was the one to do the kick off. Cristóvão de Sousa took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisão Seco. Luisão Seco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 58 minutes into the game, Jean de Moraes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Luisinho Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Seco having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Naldo Maia notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Mexilhão F. C.'s Luisão Seco. Luisão Seco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Naldo Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. Mexilhão F.
