In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube Audax Metropolitano's goalkeeper Pedro Rangel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gino Hoffmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eliézer da Cunha in the 28th minute. Pedro Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renatinho Rodrigues in the 34th minute of the match. Pedro Rangel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Simão Pinheiro's late challenge caught a Clube Audax Metropolitano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão Pinheiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 played minutes Figueira SC FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Simão Pinheiro. Gino Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Djorkaeff in the 53rd minute of the match. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Gino Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer da Cunha in the 56th minute of play. Tadeu Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Gino Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamílton Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Clube Audax Metropolitano booed when Figueira SC FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Rangel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geovani Borges in the 63rd minute. After 82 minutes of play, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Eliézer da Cunha made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 95th minute Clube Audax Metropolitano were awarded a corner. Carlos Alberto Parreira went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Carlos Alberto Parreira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Figueira SC FSCMZ's Gino Hoffmann did a great save. Clube Audax Metropolitano's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
