Pindorama Eagles's Júlio Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Marques in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Caio Brito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldo Ramos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Virgílio Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgílio Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldo Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grêmio FBPA's Claudinho Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedrinho Porto hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, José Carlos Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S.E. Pindorama Eagles played a much better game than Grêmio FBPA and deserved their victory. The Grêmio FBPA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
